Hi, I’m Marie.

I design adult learning experiences for assisted living that make a difference.

About Me

I’ve spent 14 years in adult learning, including 11 years focused on assisted living. My work has included compliance-focused courses, full online catalogs, and leadership and service learning in the hospitality industry. That mix taught me that effective programs do more than meet regulations — they build strong teams and better care for residents.

Over time, I’ve gravitated toward assisted living because it reflects something I believe strongly: everyone deserves access to quality care. Assisted living is a setting where strong adult learning design has a visible impact, both on caregiver work experience and on the resident quality of life.

Today, I focus on scenario-based learning, interactive video, immersive 360° experiences, and AI-enabled tools that help caregivers and administrators succeed while improving both compliance and quality of care.

How I Approach Learning

Teaching adults is different. Adults are busy, distracted, and working within real-world pressures. They are not learning in a bubble. They learn in the middle of deadlines, caregiving, and constant interruptions. To be effective, learning has to respect that reality by being practical, time-smart, and tailored to their unique learning needs.

New tools open new doors. Technology like interactive video, immersive 360° environments, and AI makes it possible to design practice that feels real. These tools help turn required training into experiences that stick.

Learning should change what people do. At the end of the day, the goal isn’t just to deliver content. It’s to create meaningful challenges that help caregivers build confidence and apply new skills directly in their work.
